Technical prerequisites

1 .Browser types:

• Supported:

  • For Mac and Workstation:  Mozilla 1.6 
                                           Mozilla firefox 1.0

  • For PC:  Internet Explorer 8 at 11 for Windows 7 or later
                 Mozilla 1.6
                 Mozilla firefox 1.0

• Full or partial compatibility with:

  • For several machines : Opera 7.x à 8.x   
                                      Netscape 7.2
    For Mac : Safari 2.0 and following versions

2 . E-room and browser compatibility

Microsoft is actually upgrading IE 7 to IE 8 for each clients.

We alert you that E-room is not compatible with those browsers :

- IE 8
- Firefox 3.0
- Firefox 3.5
- Opera
- Safari

Only IE 6 & 7 are approuved by Renault IT Dept.

3 . Browser configuration:

1. The suppliers’ portal uses Cookies:
   
   Ensure that cookies are enabled: For IE6, follow these instructions: 
        => Tools Menu/Internet Options/Privacy tab, move the cursor up to the desired privacy level. Click on the “Advanced” button, click to select “Override automatic cookie handling”, click to select “Accept”.
   
   

2. The portal and its services sometimes use Java and Javascript:
   
   Activate the following options: in IE6 it is enabled by default, check that it is enabled:  
        => Tools Menu/Internet Options/on the Privacy tab, click on “Custom level”/click to select the “Activate Scripting  and Scripting of Java Applets”.
   
   

3. The portal uses pop-ups mostly for access to applications:
   
   Ensure that pop-ups are not blocked: in IE6 they are blocked by default: the settings of the pop-up blocker can be configured by doing the following:  
        => Tools Menu, select Pop-up Blocker, then select Pop-up Blocker Settings. Select the “Low” setting.  

Workspace Alliance Connect require a WEB browser with Internet access.

In order to be able to work with Workspace Alliance Connect, your computer must have the following characteristics :

Internet Explorer 7-9 versions are fully supported (only 32-bit version) by Sharepoint 2010.
