Application Sharing | The Application Sharing tab corresponds to shared applications which are already open on the leader’s work station. |
ARKADIN | ARKADIN is the telephone conference services supplier used by Renault. |
Audio Conference | The audio conference is a telephone conference. Within Renault, the audio conference will be held by telephone. |
Contextuel Menu | The contextual menu is a menu accessed by right-clicking on the icon of a particular participant in the list of all participants. |
Control panel | The control panel indicates whether: - the quality of connection to the server is good, acceptable or bad,
-the conference is in save mode, - someone has left the conference. |
Dashboard | The dashboard is the bar located at the top of the shared application window. This bar allows users to:
- return to Interwise (eConf),
- be informed when a participant wishes to speak,
- be informed that a note has been received. |
eConf | eConf is the name which has been given to the INTERWISE software which is the solution chosen by Renault for organising and holding remote real-time meetings (conferences). |
Emoticons | Emoticons are images (icons) which allow participants to express their opinions visually. |
En Large | This button, accessible in the tool bar, is used to increase the white board to full screen. |
Event | An event is the equivalent of a conference. |
Event ID | The Event ID is useful for joining a conference which has already started via the ICC. |
Expel | The Expel function, accessible via the contextual menu, allows the meeting leader to expel a participant. |
Give Presenting Rights | The Give Presenting Rights function, accessible via the contextual menu, allows the moderator to hand his presenting rights over to a participant who then himself becomes moderator. At any moment, the conference initiator (the host) can withdraw the rights which have been granted. |
Guest | Guests take part in the conference organised by a host. A supplier is a guest. |
Hand over control | The moderator can allow a participant to take control of his mouse and keyboard. This allows both parties to use a shared application. |
ICC | The Interwise Communication Center (ICC) is a Web platform via which hosts can schedule or join a conference. |
Materials | The Materials tab is the zone where documents are shared. The documents added to this zone are available to all participants. |
Moderator | The moderator is the person who has the presenting rights. He has the possibility to:
- make annotations on the white board,
- present documents,
- share his applications,
- share Web browsing,
- grant a participant control of one of his applications
- transfer his rights to another participant. |
Mute participant | The Mute participant option, accessible via the contextual menu, stops a participant from speaking. |
Note | A note is a comment which can be addressed to one or all participants. |
Participant | A participant follows the conference led by the moderator. |
Saving | The conference can be saved by each participant. The file generated will be a "vcr" |
Send Note | The Send Note option, accessible via the contextual menu and the tool bar, allows a note to be sent to one or all participants. |
Servey | The survey is a tab where it is possible to get participants to vote. |
Step out | This function, accessible via the tool bar, allows you to inform participants that you are momentarily unavailable. |
Tool bar | The tool bar appears above the white board. The different buttons available for use are:
- the "emoticon" button,
- the "Send Note" button,
- the "Step Out" button,
- the "En Large" button,
- the "Speak" button,
- the drawing tools tool bar (for the moderator only). |
Transfert rights | This function allows a moderator to hand over his rights to another participant who then becomes the conference’s moderator himself. This function is available via the contextual menu. |
Whiteboard | The Whiteboard is the space where the contents inserted by the moderator can be viewed. It is also possible to write and draw on the whiteboard using the drawing tools which are available in the toolbar. |
