Before the conference …

How much does it cost my company?
The cost of an e-conference is that of your internet connection.  

What is the "Moderator"?
The Moderator is the person who runs the conference. He/she is the person who will invite you. The moderator is always someone who works for RENAULT. He/she is the person with the most rights.

What is the maximum time that a conference can last?
There is no maximum duration. However, if a conference is inactive for more than 60 minutes, it is automatically ended.

Why is the e-mail that I received inviting me to a conference incorrectly displayed in Outlook Express?
Outlook Express is not set up correctly. Go into the Tools menu, click on Options, then on the   Read tab, and de-select the “Read all messages in plain text” option.

Why can’t I connect to the conference?
       a) the conference has not yet started
       b) your computer is not configured correctly (See the technical pre-requisites which are required for installing the eConf module)
       c) your internet connection is down or poor

During the conference …

Is it possible to view the entire screen of a shared application?
Yes, simply click on the "EnLarge" button located on the tool bar at the top of the whiteboard.


Why can’t I make annotations on the whiteboard?
Only the moderator has access to the drawing tools toolbar. Consequently, the moderator is the only person able to make annotations on the white board, unless he/she authorises you to take control.

Can I copy-paste onto the whiteboard? 
No, this functionality is not available in eConf.

How do I send a message to all participants?
Click on the "Send Note" button in the tool bar. Choose “All participants” in the pull-down menu and the message will be sent to all participants.

Will a document which has been deleted from the Materials tab also be deleted from my computer?
No, documents deleted from the Materials tab will not be deleted from your computer.

When I click on the iMeeting (Interwise) shrunk window, why isn’t the window displayed?
You are sharing an application. You need to go back to the window of the application being shared, and click on the "To Interwise" button located at the top of the shared application window.

When untimely disconnection, what should I do?
Untimely disconnections are often due to Internet access problems or your screen saver starting up. The application automatically attempts to re-connect.  A visual signal at the top left of your screen indicates that this is the case. Do not attempt anything yourself, leave the application to try to reconnect on its own.

Why can’t I see the "Dashboard" tool bar at the top of my shared application?
You need to set up the different options in the Interwise application as explained in the handbook.
