Dear Sir, Madam,
To mark the start of the New Year, I would like to convey my warmest wishes for 2011 to you and your staff and thank you for your contribution to our excellent performance.
I would also like to take this opportunity to recall some of the highlights of 2010 for our Group:
-the signature of a strategic agreement with Daimler for future generations of the Smart, Twingo and powertrains
-the unveiling of our 4 electric models at the Paris Motor Show (Fluence, Kangoo, Zoé and Twizy), alongside concept cars that represent our new innovative designs
-record sales for the Group; 2.6 millions sale units
-sales outside Europe totalling 37% of global Renault sales
2010 was therefore a year that allowed us to put the crisis behind us. First, in terms of the automotive industry in general, as the world market reached a threshold of 70 million vehicles. Buoyed by growth on international markets and gains in market share, the Group sold 2.6 million vehicles in 2010, making it a record year. Therefore, 2010 has indeed marked the end of the crisis, thanks to the efforts of one and all.
In 2011, Renault is going to adopt a new Mid-Term Plan. This year I am counting on you once again to succeed, so that our collective efforts serve the best interests of our firms and strengthen our relationships based on respect, trust and transparency.
On behalf of the Purchasing Department and RNPO staff, I would like to wish you every success in your personal and professional lives in 2011. Please pass on my warmest wishes to all your teams.
